Iran’s Habibinezhad Wins Bronze at Kazakhstan’s Boxing Tournament
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian boxer Ali Habibinezhad claimed a bronze medal at the Astana tournament.
He defeated boxers from Kazakhstan on his way to the final.
The Iranian team competes at the event as part of preparation for the Boxing Road to Paris 2nd World Qualification Tournament in Thailand.
The Tournament will take place from May 24 to June 2 at Indoor Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, where a total of 51 remaining Paris 2024 Olympic quota places (23 for women and 28 for men) will be up for grabs across 13 Olympic boxing weight categories (6 for women and 7 for men).
