Iran’s Giant Blues Rout Thailand's Buriram United (+Video)

Esteqlal defeated Buriram United at Azadi stadium here in Tehran last evening.

Now, the Iranian side only needs a draw in the second match in Thailand to become one of the top four leading football teams in Asia.

The Blues advanced from the round of 16 by beating UAE’s al-Shabab by a total of 4-2 in two matches.

Esteqlal will face Buriram United in the return match on September 18 in the town of Buriram, northeast of capital Bangkok.
