Commander Stresses IRGC's Intelligence Supremacy over Terrorists

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The IRGC has full intelligence supremacy over terrorist groups in northwestern and southeastern regions of Iran, and has taken major steps towards giving local people a greater role in ensuring a higher degree of security, a senior commander said.

Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Ground Force Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour hailed the security situation of the country as "satisfactory", and noted that IRGC has been trying to work with local people in southeastern and northwestern parts of the country to boost security levels.

“In the southeast region we have good intelligence supremacy and we are monitoring every movement of terrorist groups," he said.

In similar remarks on Saturday, a senior IRGC commander praised Iran’s intelligence superiority and powerful military forces, and warned the country’s enemies that any potential threat will face a crushing response by the Iranian Armed Forces.

“Our enemies each have been stuck in a morass of problems. Our full intelligence superiority and powerful armed forces give us the readiness to confront any kind of military threat,” Lieutenant Commander of IRGC Ground Force General Abdollah Araqi said.

“If there is any threat, the country’s mighty armed forces will respond, and IRGC ground forces are absolutely prepared to counter any threat,” the Iranian commander added.
