Iran to Host Academic Conference on Syria
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Tehran plans to host an academic conference on the Syrian resistance on Tuesday, with a group of Syrian, Lebanese, Iraqi and Iranian university students to attend.
The conference, entitled ‘Syria: Embankment of Resistance’, will be held on September 3 amid the sensitive conditions in the region and the West’s growing threats against Syria and the (anti-Israel) resistance front.
Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari and his deputy, Brigadier General Hossein Salami, and a number of Iranian diplomats and several foreign ambassadors and diplomats will attend the conference.
The objective of the day-long conference is to promote solidarity and unity for resistance against the West and Takfiri Salafist (extremist) front.
