President Felicitates Iranians on Nowruz
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iranian President Hassan Rouhani congratulated the nation on the occasion of Nowruz, and pledged greater efforts by his administration to improve the culture and strengthen the economy in the new Iranian year.
In a televised address on the occasion of the advent of the Iranian New Year on Thursday, President Rouhani extended his congratulatory message to the whole Iranian people.
He said the administration is determined to take more serious measures in the new year to revive the economy, thus reinvigorating the country’s industrial, agricultural and other sectors.
President Rouhani also underlined the necessity to pave the way for the improvement of cultural issues in the society.
He reiterated that the administration will spare no effort to provide better life conditions and welfare services for the Iranian families.
As regards the general policies of the Resistance Economy, the president emphasized that attention and efforts should be zeroed in on the implementation of that grand plan, in a bid to bring more development to the country.
Earlier on February 19, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei had in a proclamation outlined a series of general policies to boost the country’s economy and lower its vulnerabilities.
The proclamation, laying out a grand plan for Resistance Economy in Iran, has been issued after consultations with the country’s Expediency Council and based upon the Clause 1 of Article 110 of the Iranian Constitution.
