TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The Iranian national football team drew with South Africa's premiership club Orlando Pirates in a friendly match on Wednesday.

The Iranian outfit was held to a 3-3 draw by fifth-placed Orlando Pirates in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Mohammad Reza Khalatbari, Hashem Beikzadeh and Reza Norouzi scored for Iran in the friendly match.

Iran already defeated Moroka Swallow 5-0 in its first friendly on Tuesday.

Iran, Asia's best FIFA-ranked team, will play Mozambique football team in a friendly on May 2.

On May 12, Carlos Queiroz’s men will travel to Austria to face Belarus, Montenegro and Angola in friendly matches before heading to Brazil to make their fourth World Cup appearance in June.

Iran will play Nigeria in Curitiba in its opening Group F match before taking on Argentina and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
