Tabriz University Inks Cooperation Agreement with Caucasus Universities

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s University of Tabriz signed a cooperation deal with 19 Caucasus universities.

During the 4th Congress of Caucasus Universities Association in Ankara, Turkey, Chancellor of Tabriz University Mohammad Reza Pour-Mohammadi signed an agreement on cooperation with 19 universities that are members to the association.

The deal, which calls for cooperation in educational and research areas, was also signed by chancellors of the 19 academic centers from countries like the Republic of Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Cyprus.

Pour-Mohammadi also delivered a speech at the congress on the prospects of academic collaborations in the Caucasus.
 
He called for cooperation in organizing joint conferences, sharing data banks, and developing virtual education.

The Caucasus University Association, according to its website, was founded in November 2009 through a protocol signed by the chancellors of several universities from Turkey, Georgia, and Azerbaijan.
