Syrian Army Kills over 120 ISIL Terrorists in Raqqa, Homs

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Syrian army foiled an offensive launched by the so-called Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) terrorist group against the headquarters of division 17 in the northern province of Raqqa.

A Saudi suicide bomber started the offensive, yet the army soldiers detonated his car at a far distance from its target.

The Syrian warplanes then began targeting ISIL terrorist gatherings in the city on Wednesday, killing around 60 of the group's terrorists.

The Syrian army also controlled most of al-Shaer gas field in Homs eastern countryside, killing over 60 ISIL terrorists.

The Syrian army also continued its operations against the militant groups in Damascus, Aleppo, Latakia, Deir Ezzor and Homs, inflicting heavy losses upon them, Al-Manar reported.
