Iran President Congratulates Juncker on EC Win
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Saturday congratulated Jean-Claude Juncker on his election as president of European Commission.
In a congratulatory message addressed to the new head of European Commission, President Rouhani expressed the hope that during Juncker’s tenure, relations between Iran and the European Union would be promoted.
Iran is ready to take necessary measures to strengthen ties with EU and promote cooperation on the basis of mutual respect and common interests, said the Iranian president.
President Rouhani also wished good health and success to the new EU Commission president.
