Ashkan Dejagah Joins Qatari Club Al-Arabi

TEHRAN(Tasnim) - Iranian international midfielder Ashkan Dejagah joined Al-Arabi of Qatar from Fulham.

Dejagah joined Fulham from Wolfsburg two years ago and scored six goals in 49 appearances for the Premier League team.

The west London club was relegated from the Premier League last season.

The Cottagers agreed to let the 28-year-old leave the club following talks with German coach Felix Magath.

"Having spoken with Ashkan, we decided in the best interest of both Fulham and himself, that he would leave," Fulham manager Felix Magath told the club's official website.

"During his time with us he made some good appearances and scored some memorable goals. However, we have decided to part ways.

"It will always be our policy to have players who are committed to the club and have a desire to work for the common goal."

Dejagah was part of the Iranian football team in the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
