No Ideology Would Condone Israeli Atrocities: Iranian MP
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The crimes committed by the Zionist regime is not acceptable in any religion or ideology, an Iranian lawmaker said.
Speaking to the Tasnim News Agency, Ahmad Salek, who heads the Iranian Parliament’s Cultural Commission, said that during its existence as a cancerous tumor in the Middle East for the past 67 years, Israel has committed atrocities and today it is killing children, a move which is deplorable in every religion or ideology.
His comment came as death toll from 24 days of Israeli onslaught on Palestinians in Gaza has exceeded 1,450 with more than 8,300 injured.
The Israeli offensive, which began on July 8, has killed mostly civilians according to the UN. The fighting has also forced over 215,000 Gazans to flee their homes in the overcrowded coastal strip.
Salek further highlighted the capabilities of the Palestinian resistance movement and said that unlike 30 years ago, the resistance movement is effectively standing up against Israel and its supporters.
He referred to reports about a true in Gaza and said Israel has been facing a deadlock in its offensive against Gaza and that is why it is seeking a cease-fire.
