Iran to Attend China Int’l Book Fair

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran plans to take part in the 21st Beijing International Book Fair (BIBF), which will be held in the Chinese capital from August 27 to 31.

Iran Cultural Fairs Institute (ICFI), representing the country, is scheduled to partake in the exhibition which will be held at the New China International Exhibition Center in Beijing's Shunyi district.

During the exhibition, the ICFI plans to display Iranian cultural products, including books on a range of subjects from contemporary and classical Persian literature to Persian language learning.

The Iranian institute will also introduce a series of books written in foreign languages and published by the Al-Mustafa International University .

The exhibition will cover an area of 53,600 square meters in Shunyi district, and the Republic of Turkey will take part as the Country of Honor, according to the official website of the BIBF.

Besides expanding and improving on the General Publishing Zone, the exhibition will continue to run the Digital Publishing Zone and the Children’s Book, Cartoons and Animation Zone, Periodical Zone, Publishing on Demand Zone, the Rights Center and the Library Acquisition Zone.
