Behdad Salimi Leads Iranian Delegation at Asiad Opening Ceremony
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran’s super heavyweight weightlifter Behdad Salimi led the country's contingent at the Opening Ceremony held at the Incheon Asiad Main Stadium on Friday.
Iran has participated at the 17th Asiad with 276 athletes in 22 sports.
The Iranian delegation finished in the fourth place in the 2010 Guangzhou Games with 20 gold medals, 15 silvers and 24 bronzes.
17th Asiad has brought 13,000 competitors from 45 countries together.
