The Iranian discus thrower claimed the gold medal with a throw of 45.20meters.

The silver medal went to Faleh Naseripouran with 37.05meters and Chih-Chung Chian from Chinese Taipei won the bronze medal with 37.05meters.

China tops medal tally with 159 medals, followed by South Korea (67), Japan (37) and Iran (35).

Iran has previously won 28 gold medals in the games.
