Iran Plans Joint Active, Civil Defense Maneuver

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Commander of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbia Air Defense Base said a joint drill of the country’s active (military) and civil defenses will be staged in the near future.

Brigadier General Farzad Esmaeili said the joint exercises will be different from the previous war games.

He underlined that cooperation between active and civilian defenses helps to enhance the country’s defense capability.

Iran observes the civil defense week on October 26-November 1.

Civil defense refers to all activities that would increase stability, facilitate crisis solving techniques, keep the necessary utilities working at all times, create deterrence against enemies and increase defensive capabilities without using weapons.
