Iran to Take Part at World Karate Championships

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran will travel to Germany Tuesday morning to participate in the 22nd World Senior Karate Championships.

Iran will participate in the event with eight women and 12 men athletes.

This is the second time (after Munich in 2000) the World Championships take place in Germany, and also the second international Karate tournament after the 2003 European Championships to be hosted in Bremen.

The World Senior Karate Championships will take place at the ÖVB arena in Bremen, Germany, from November 5 until 9.

An estimated 1,200 athletes from at least 130 nations are expected to participate in the event.
