Iranian Deputy FM, Lao Envoy Discuss Bilateral Ties
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Morteza Sarmadi and the new ambassador of Laos to Tehran held talks on a whole range of issues, including avenues for promoting bilateral relations in diverse areas.
In the meeting held in Tehran on Sunday, Sarmadi commented on the “age-old and positive” relations between Iran and Laos and praised the stances shared by the two countries on various international issues.
The Iranian deputy foreign minister also expressed the hope that bilateral relations would expand in all spheres during the tenure of the new ambassador.
The Lao ambassador, for his part, expressed satisfaction with his trip to Iran, and said he would do his utmost to expand bilateral ties in all spheres, including in the area of economy.
