Iran’s Missile Power Non-Negotiable: Commander

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - A high-ranking commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) lauded the country’s great capabilities in manufacturing different types of missiles, reiterating that the capability would never be mooted at any talks.

Commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizade said the West’s insistence that Iran’s ballistic missiles become a subject of negotiations is a testimony to the country’s good capabilities in that sphere.

“They (westerners) would deny Iran such capability if they could. But our missile power is non-negotiable,” the commander stressed.

He made the comments on the sidelines of a ceremony held in Tehran to pay tribute to Brigadier General Hassan Tehrani-Moqaddam, the father of Iran's missile program.

Heaping praise on Tehrani-Moqaddam for his efforts to boost Iran’s missile capability, Hajizade said the country has now gained self-sufficiency in designing and manufacturing different types of missiles.
