Iran Beach Volleyball Earns Silver in Asian Beach Games

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran beach volleyball team lost to Indonesia in the 2014 Asian Beach Games final match.

On Sunday, the Iranian outfit consists of Bahman Salemi and Saber Hoshmand lost to Indonesia 2-1 (22-20, 14-21, 10-15) in Phuket,  Thailand.

The Iranian athletes are competing in 17 out of 26 sports in the event.

About 3,500 athletes and officers from 45 countries in Asia are participating in the games.

The first Asian Beach Games was held in Indonesia in 2008.

Vietnam will host the fifth edition in Khanh Hoa Province and Da Nang City in 2016.
