Oman Highlights Iran’s Constructive Regional Role

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Omani Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdallah lauded Iran for its “constructive” role in contribution to peace and tranquility in the Middle East region.

“Iran’s constructive role in establishing stability and security in the region is obvious to all countries,” the Omani official said in a meeting with Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian.

The minister further praised the “stable and firm” relations between Tehran and Muscat in diverse fields in light of “wise policies” adopted by the two countries’ leaders.

Bin Alawi further stressed the need for concerted action by the regional countries on the fight against terrorism and extremism.

The Iranian diplomat, for his part, said the “premier features” of Iran-Oman ties give them the opportunity to make the most of the available capacities for the good of the two nations and the region.

Iran and Oman enjoy age-old and close ties and their relations have become even closer after the two sides' agreements to boost mutual cooperation, especially on economic fields.
