Iran Comes 3rd in World Youth Chess Olympiad

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran finished in third place in the 2014 Youth U-16 Chess Olympiad team title on Sunday.

India won the World Youth U-16 Chess Olympiad and Russia came second.

The Iranian team consists of Ahmad Asgarizadeh, Amin Tabatabaei, Parham Maghsoodloo, Shahin Lorpari Zangeneh and Anahita Gholami Orimi.

The World Youth U-16 Chess Olympiad took place in Gyor, Hungary from December 12 to 22.

The competition brought 54 teams from 37 nations together.
