Barack Obama Chews Gum as Parade Marches On
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - In an ungainly sight, cameras caught US President Brack Obama chewing gum during the Republic Day parade in India on Monday.
In the picture captured by cameras and posted on Twitter by some users, Obama was spotted removing his chewing gum while Indian PM Modi was seen trying to explain something to the US president.
However, this is not the first time that Obama has been spotted chewing gum during an important function.
Obama was slammed on social media for chewing gum at the APEC summit held in Beijing. Obama was also caught chewing gum at a World War II ceremony in France.
Earlier, in a departure from tradition, the chief guest at the Republic Day parade, US President Barack Obama, on Monday arrived in his own highly-secured bomb-proof vehicle, 'The Beast,' at Rajpath.
The Republic Day chief guest normally travels with the President of India in his car from Rashtrapati Bhavan, The Times of India reported.
