Persepolis Signs Brazilian Midfielder Fernando Gabriel
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Persepolis football team announced the signing of Fernando Gabriel Vougado Ribeiro on Tuesday.
The 26-year-old midfielder underwent medical exam at the Iranian giant and joined the team until the end of the season with an option of a further year.
Fernando Gabriel is set to accompany Persepolis in the AFC Champions League, where the Iranian popular team has been drawn alongside Saudi champion Nassr and Qatari Stars League winner Lekhwiya in Group A.
Fernando Gabriel began his career at Brazilian club ADAP and has also played at Mogi Mirim, Bragantino and Khazar Lankaran.
Persepolis is currently standing in eighth place with 22 points from 17 games.
