Penarol Shows Interest in Signing Kamrani
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Penarol Mar del Plata has announced its interest in signing Iranian national basketball team point guard Mehdi Kamrani.
He currently plays for China’s Jiangsu Tongxi in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) as well as for the Iranian national basketball team.
Club Atlético Peñarol (usually called Penarol de Mar del Plata or simply Penarol) is a professional basketball team based in Mar del Plata, Argentina.
Penarol currently plays in the Liga Nacional de Básquet (LNB), the top level of the Argentine league system. Its home arena is the Polideportivo Islas Malvinas.
The team had its most successful campaign during 2010, winning 4 official tournaments (FIBA Americas League, Liga Nacional, InterLigas, and Copa Argentina).
