Iranian DM Visits China National Space Administration

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Defense Minster Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan paid a visit to the China National Space Administration (CNSA) during his three-day tour of the Asian country.

Dehqan, who has travelled to Beijing at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart, visited the Asian giant’s space bureau on Tuesday.

CNSA is said to be the world’s third biggest center for astronomy and space studies. The Chinese agency has so far dispatched 10 astronauts into space.

Separately on Monday, Dehqan held a meeting with China’s Defense Minister Chang Wanquan in Beijing. In that gathering, the Chinese minster voiced his country’s willingness to forge closer defense ties with Iran.

Dehqan had also expressed the hope that Tehran and Beijing would continue to play a positive role in safeguarding regional peace and stability.

This is Dehqan's first visit to China since he took office last year.
