Iran’s Mojallali Clinches Bronze in Canoe Single 200m Men


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Adel Mojallali snatched a bronze medal in the Canoe Single (C1) 200m Men on Monday in the 2014 Asian games.

Mojallali clinched a bronze medal with a time of 39.669 seconds.

Gold medal went to Qiang Li from China with a time of 39.270 seconds. Naoya Sakamoto from Japan won the silver medal with 39.654 seconds.

Some 9,500 athletes from 45 countries are competing at the Games, the world's second-biggest multi-sport event after the summer Olympics, with 439 gold medals in 36 sports up for grabs.

Iran has participated in the games with 276 athletes in 22 sports.
