The Iranian chief executive on Wednesday sent a message to Nikos Anastasiadis, and felicitated the Cypriot government and nation on the occasion of their national day, which falls on October 1.
In his message, Rouhani expressed the hope that good ties between Iran and Cyprus would further enhance at the bilateral and international levels with the joint efforts by the two countries’ officials.
Cyprus became independent from the British rule in 1960, after a four-year war.
