Former Germany basketball coach will travel to Tehran in the next few days to finalize the deal.

The 61-year-old coach led Germany basketball team from 2003 to 2011.

Bauermann has also led Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern Munich and Poland national basketball team.

He inspired Germany to win silver at the EuroBasket 2005.

Iran is preparing to participate in the 2015 FIBA Asia Championship which will be held in China from September 23 to October 3.
