“The nuclear agreement clearly showed that most important global issues can be resolved through dialogue and peaceful means," Fischer said in a telephone conversation with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Thursday.

Undoubtedly, the result of the talks would have positive effects for the world and for bilateral relations between Iran and Austria, in particular, he said.

Rouhani, for his part, thanked the Austrian government for hosting negotiations between Iran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany) over Tehran’s peaceful nuclear program, saying that the European country is a good host for global talks.

He further emphasized that the conclusion of the nuclear talks, could pave the way for closer ties between Tehran and Vienna.

President Rouhani also welcomed an upcoming visit to Iran by president Fischer, and noted that the visit could bring bilateral relations between the two countries to a new stage.

On July 14 and after months of diplomatic negotiations, the negotiating parties reached a conclusion over the text of the deal that would end more than a decade of impasse over Tehran's nuclear energy program.
