Three Spanish Ministers Due in Iran in September
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Three Spanish ministers accompanied by a high-ranking delegation will visit Iran in the near future, Spain's ambassador to Tehran announced.
Spain's ministers of trade, energy and tourism, along with a 40-strong trade delegation, will travel to Tehran in early September, Pedro Antonio Villena said in a meeting with Deputy Head of Iran's Chamber of Commerce, Industries, and Mines Ali Akbar Farazi.
Villena further noted that the delegation's visit will be focused on infrastructure, civil development, and construction projects.
Farazi, for his part, referred to Spain as one of Iran's friends in the days of sanctions, saying that Madrid has always tried to resolve sanction-related problems with a positive view.
The high-ranking Spanish delegation will be welcome, he said, adding that Iran's Chamber of Commerce is ready to hold an Iran-Spain trade meeting with the participation of Iranian officials and representatives of the country's private sector.
The visit would come as part of a new wave of renewed interest in Iran after Tehran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany) on July 14 reached a conclusion over the text of a comprehensive 159-page deal on Tehran's nuclear program.
The comprehensive nuclear deal between Iran and the six powers would terminate all nuclear-related sanctions imposed on Iran after coming into force.
Experts believe that Iran's economic growth would rise remarkably after the final nuclear deal takes effect.
Earlier this week, German Vice-Chancellor and Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy Sigmar Gabriel at the head of a high-ranking delegation including the representatives of 20 German economic giants visited Iran and held meetings with senior Iranian officials.
