Obama Warns Hezbollah Rockets May Fall on Tel Aviv if Iran Accord Blocked

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – US President Barack Obama warned Jewish leaders that Hezbollah would rain down its rockets on Tel Aviv if the conclusion of nuclear talks between Iran and world powers was rejected, a Jewish leader said.

"... you'll see Hezbollah rockets falling on Tel Aviv,” Greg Rosenbaum, one of 20 Jewish leaders who met Obama at the White House on Tuesday, quoted him as telling the forum, Reuters reported.

"He said military action by the United States against Iran's nuclear facilities is not going to result in Iran deciding to have a full-fledged war with the United States," Rosenbaum, of the National Jewish Democratic Council, added, further quoting Obama.

Obama has embarked on a personal lobbying push to persuade Democratic lawmakers to support the agreement ahead of the five-week August recess.

Iran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, US, Britain, France, and Germany) on July 14 successfully concluded their nuclear talks in Vienna, Austria, and finalized the text of a comprehensive nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
