PM: Turkey to Hold Talks with Iran, Russia for Political Solution in Syria

Davutoglu said in an interview on NTV that Turkey will sit down with Russian and Iranian officials to find a diplomatic solution in Syria, adding that Ankara would not take a foreign policy stance which "legitimizes the Syrian regime".

He further said that Russian airstrikes in Idlib and Aleppo in Syria could cause a further influx of refugees into Turkey.

On September 30, Russia, upon a formal request by Syrian President Bashar Assad, started launching airstrikes against ISIL targets in Syria by Sukhoi Su-25 ground attack planes, Su-24 and Su-34 bombers.
