Chinese Investors Visit Iran’s Southern Economic Zone

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The deputy manager of the Bushehr Special Economic Zone in southern Iran said Chinese businessmen have voiced eagerness to invest in the region.

Speaking in a meeting with a group of investors from China, Qassem Sabet highlighted the great potentials and capacities of the special economic zone.

He said the Chinese delegation visited different parts of the economic zone and expressed readiness to invest in their fields of choosing there.

Sabet added that there will be special advantages for those seeking to invest in the economic zone, including discounts on infrastructural services like water, power and gas supply.

The visit comes following a recent nuclear agreement between Iran and world powers that would lead to the termination of illegal anti-Iran sanctions.

There has been a new wave of interest among different countries in ties with Iran after Tehran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany) on July 14 reached a conclusion over the text of the comprehensive 159-page deal on Tehran’s nuclear program.

The agreement, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), would terminate all nuclear-related sanctions imposed on Iran after coming into force.

That is expected to result in a hike in Iran’s trade and bilateral relations with different states.
