Russia hosted two rounds of intra-Syrian talks in January and April.
"We will invite [the parties] to Moscow for consultations next week. There are no problems with the government… Now we are conducting talks with the representatives of various Syrian opposition organizations so that they come to Moscow," Mikhail Bogdanov told journalists.
According to Bogdanov, the meeting is expected to be a continuation of Russia's efforts to provide the Syrian opposition with an opportunity to contact the Syrian government and resolve urgent issues, Russia-based Sputnik News reported.
"There are new tasks are on the agenda. These tasks were discussed and coordinated in Vienna. Now we have a new and very promising positive element in the situation in general — it is the Vienna document accepted on October 30 in Vienna," the deputy foreign minister stressed.
On October 30, top diplomats from the United States, Russia, Iran, China, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Egypt, Qatar, Lebanon and France, as well as UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura, met in Vienna to discuss the Syrian crisis settlement.
The participants of the talks in Vienna for a Syrian peace reached a mutual understanding on national unity, the need to eradicate extremist groups, and providing assistance to refugees, as well as restating that the Syrian people must decide the future of their state. These principles became the basis of an agreement signed following the negotiations.
