Head of Iran's Civil Aviation Organization (CAO) Ali Abedzadeh and Director General of Syrian Civil Aviation Authority Mohammed Iyad Zidane signed the agreement in a meeting in Tehran, the public relations department of the CAO reported on Wednesday.
Providing the staff of Syrian airlines with consultations and training in the field of designing flight paths and repairing and maintaining communication and navigation systems are among the undertakings of the CAO under the agreement.
During the meeting, the two sides also exchanged views about technical and operational cooperation in aviation industry.
Tehran and Damascus have been strategic allies for decades.
While Syria has been gripped by civil war since March 2011, Iran has remained a close ally of the Arab country and supports its legitimate government in the face of foreign-backed militancy.
