Iran Taekwondo Team Heads to WTF World Cup, Grand Prix Final

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran 10-member team traveled to Mexico early Tuesday to take part at the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) World Cup and Grand Prix Final.

Farzan Ashourzadeh, Behnam Asbaghi, Masoud Hajji Zavareh and Sajjad Mardani will represent Iran in the Grand Prix Final.

Armin Hadipour, Abolfazl Yaghoubi, Mohammad Kazemi, Farzad Zolghadri, Saeid Rajabi and Omid Amidi will participate in the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) World Cup.

A total of 237 athletes from 56 countries competed at the Manchester Regional Arena for top honors in the Manchester Grand Prix event.

The 2015 WTF Grand Prix Final is schedule to take place on December 5-6, 2015 in Mexico City, Mexico. It will be an important event on the way to the Rio 2016 Olympics.

World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) World Cup will be held from December 8-9 in Mexico City.
