The Iranian popular football team has signed a six month contract with an option to extend it for one more year.
The 30-year-old goalie started his playing career in Sogdiana Jizzakh in 2005 and has also played at Uzbekistani clubs Kaisar, Akzhayik, FK Buxoro, Jaykhun Nukus and Pakhtakor.
He has played five times for Uzbekistan football team as well.
Lobanov replaced Sosha Makani, who has had a several of disappointing performances in the first half of the season in Persepolis.
