West Tried to Impede Dissemination of Leader’s Letter: IRGC Adviser

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A senior IRGC adviser said Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei’s letter to the youth in Europe and North America in January 2015 shocked the West to the extent that a task force was set up to counter dissemination of the letter.

Ayatollah Khamenei’s first letter to the Western youth gave the West a big surprise, in a way that they established a base after two weeks to nullify its far-reaching effects, Hamid Reza Moqaddamfar, media adviser to Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari said on Saturday.

He made the comments in an address to the opening of the 3rd Islamic Revolution Digital Media Fair and Festival in Tehran.

Moqaddamfar also highlighted the significance of cyber space in the contemporary era, making a reference to the release of Ayatollah Khamenei’s letter in the virtual networks before being published in media outlets.

On January 21, 2015, Imam Khamenei sent a letter to youths in Europe and North America to introduce a true image of Islam and elaborate on the reasons behind West’s attempts to spread Islamophobia.

Later in November, the Leader sent another letter to the youth in the Western countries, following a spate of terrorist attacks in France.

The letters were among the most reviewed documents circulated on the web.
