Russia Says Registered 9 Syria Ceasefire Violations in Last 24 Hours

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Russia's Defense Ministry said it had registered nine ceasefire violations in Syria over the past 24 hours.

In a statement, it said there had been six violations in Aleppo province, one in Damascus, one in Latakia and one in Daraa, Reuters reported.

It also said that Syria's Idlib province was attacked from the territory of Turkey. Russian air forces did not made strikes on armed formations, the ministry added.

Russia and the US agreed to enforce a cessation of hostilities starting from February 27.

The fragile cessation of hostilities in the five-year conflict is in its eighth day and the United Nations has said it wants to resume peace talks on March 13.
