Most of 300 Cement Workers Abducted by Daesh in Syria Freed

Saturday's reports came two days after Daesh abducted 300 cement workers and contractors from their workplace in the areas of Dumeir just northeast of the capital Damascus.

The so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said all those abducted have been released except for 30 people who were guards at the cement factory, AP reported.

In a brazen assault near the Syrian capital, Daesh militants on Thursday abducted 300 cement workers and contractors in an area northeast of Damascus.

The abduction from the al-Badia Cement Company took place in Dumeir, an area where militants had launched a surprise attack against Syrian army forces earlier this week.
