Iran to Play Tajikistan at AFC U-14 Girls' Championship Third-Place Match
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran was defeated against India and failed to advance to the AFC U-14 Girls’ Regional Championship final.
The Iranian team lost to India 4-3.
Maral Torkaman (22nd), Maryam Mohammadi (25th), Roghayeh Jalal Nasab (32nd) scored for Iran and Susmita Tanty (43rd, 57th) and Sunita Munda (9th, 11th) were on target for India.
Iran had already defeated Tajikistan (3-0), Kyrgyzstan (2-0) and Bhutan (7-0) in the competition.
Reigning champion Bangladesh also thrashed Tajikistan 9-0 in another semis.
Iran will play host Tajikistan on Sunday in the 3rd/4th placing match while India and Bangladesh face in the final.
