Iran’s Zobahan Downs Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr in ACL

Ehsan Pahlavan opened the scoring for Zobahan in the 30th minute and Masoud Hassanzadeh made it 2-0 from the penalty spot in the 40th minute.

Al Nassr goalkeeper Hussain Shaian was sent off just ahead of the hour mark.

Hashem Beikzadeh added a third for Zobahan three minutes from time.

Zobahan went into the game having already secured the top spot in Group B and a place in the Round of 16, but Yahya Golmohammadi’s team was still intent on putting on a show and claiming its fourth win of the campaign.

Qatar’s Lekhwiya and Bunyodkor of Uzbekistan played out a goalless draw in Doha and the Qatari team advanced to the next stage as the second team.
