Iran Loses to China at Asian Water Polo Junior Championship

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran lost to China 12-10 at the 5th Asian Water Polo Junior Championship on Sunday.

It was Iran’s second loss after the team was defeated against Kazakhstan 13-10 in its opener.

Iran was held to a 12-12 draw against title-holder Japan and defeated host Indonesia 19-13.

Aleksandar Ciric’s boys have been scheduled to meet Uzbekistan on Monday.

The tournament has brought Indonesia, Iran, China ,Japan ,Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan together.

The Asian Water Polo Junior Championship has started on July 21 in Indonesia.

The competitions will also be as a Qualification Tournament for choosing Asian representatives to attend in FINA World Junior Championship (20 years & under) in 2017.
