Hezbollah Denounces Kabul Attack
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Lebanon's Hezbollah Resistance Movement Sunday condemned the bombings in Afghanistan's capital a day earlier which claimed the lives of dozens of people.
"This is a continuation of the diabolical acts of murder and crime which is targeting everywhere without discrimination, and aims to take revenge, shed innocent blood, tarnish the image of Islam and Muslims, achieve malignant goals in ripping apart the Umma (Muslim community) and serve policies which are using terrorists as a tool," a statement by Hezbollah said, the Daily Star reported.
It voiced regret over the international and regional silence surrounding the massacre, saying the silence encourages such acts of terrorism.
The resistance movement called for wide condemnation of the attack.
Triple bombings tore through crowds of Shiite Hazara protesters in Kabul on Saturday, killing 80 people and leaving hundreds more injured.
