Iran Beaten by Iraq at Asian Junior Handball Championship

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran lost to Iraq 34-29 in Group I of the 15th edition of the Asian Men’s Junior Handball Championship Tuesday.

Iran, who had already defeated Jordan (41-17) and Uzbekistan (37-22) in Group A, will play South Korea and Japan on Wednesday and Friday respectively.

The competition kicked off in Amman, Jordan on July 22 and will run until August 1.

The 2016 Asian Men's Junior Handball Championship is the 15th edition of the Asian Men's Junior Handball Championship held under the aegis of Asian Handball Federation.

It also acts as the qualification tournament for the 2017 Men's Junior World Handball Championship which will be held in Algeria.
