Iran’s Meghdid Wins Bronze at Grass Ski Junior World Championships

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Navid Meghdid from Iran claimed a bronze medal at the Grass Ski Junior World Championships underway in Dizin, Iran.

The Iranian representative finished in third place in giant slalom races on Thursday.

A total of 38 participants from eight nations are currently competing for medals in the season’s highlight event for young Grass Skiing talents.

It is the second time since 2010 that the experienced FIS Grass Ski World Cup host is welcoming the world’s best youngsters born between 1995-2000.

The Championships kicked off with an opening ceremony on July 26, 2016 followed by super combined races for both genders which were won by Kristin Hetfleisch (AUT) and Martin Bartak (CZE).

The Championships will continue with slalom and giant slalom races and conclude with a super-G on Friday, July 29.
