Iran Fails to Qualify for Junior World Handball Championship

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran failed to book a place at the 2017 Men's Junior World Handball Championship.

The Iranian team was held to a 30-30 draw against Japan in Group I of the 15th edition of the Asian Men’s Junior Handball Championship on Friday and failed to advance to the semi-final.

The competition kicked off in Amman, Jordan on July 22 and will run until August 1.

The 2016 Asian Men's Junior Handball Championship is the 15th edition of the Asian Men's Junior Handball Championship held under the aegis of Asian Handball Federation.

It also acts as the qualification tournament for the 2017 Men's Junior World Handball Championship which will be held in Algeria.
