President Rouhani Felicitates Poroshenko on Ukraine’s National Day
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran's President Hassan Rouhani on Wednesday congratulated Ukrainian nation and government on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of country’s independence.
In a message to the President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, Rouhani wished health and prosperity for the people of the Eastern European country.
Ukrainians marked the eve of the Independence Day in the capital city of Kyiv on Tuesday by an annual Flag Raising Ceremony attended by Poroshenko.
Ukraine’s Declaration of Independence was adopted by parliament on August 24, 1991 to establish the country as an independent state after the Soviet Union collapsed.
