Russia Tightens Security at Bishkek Embassy After Chinese Mission Attack

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Russia has taken measures to ensure the safety of the country's Embassy in Kyrgyzstan staff following an attack on the Chinese mission in the Central Asian republic’s capital this week, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Wednesday.

"The Russian Embassy in Bishkek continues to operate as normal. The necessary measures have been taken to ensure the safety of employees and visitors of the diplomatic office," Zakharova told reporters.

The spokeswoman condemned "strongly and unequivocally" the explosive-laden car ramming into the gates of the Chinese Embassy in Bishkek that killed the suicide bomber and wounded at least two Kyrgyz nationals early Tuesday.

No Chinese diplomats were injured by the blast.
