IRGC Fully Prepared to Respond to Any Threat: Commander

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Aerospace Force Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh highlighted the military power of the IRGC, saying that the forces are “one hundred percent” ready to respond to any foreign threat.

“We are working round-the-clock in all spheres, including (manufacturing of) ground-to-ground missiles, pilotless aircraft, drones, radars, ( and in) electronic warfare and air defense sectors, because we have enemies who are making round-the-clock attempts,” Brigadier General Hajizadeh told reporters in Iran’s northern province of Zanjan on Sunday evening.

“We should not be content with what we have reached today,” he said, adding that if the country stopped efforts to boost its defense power, it would be “doomed to destruction”.

“Our preparedness is one hundred percent,” the commander stressed, adding that the IRGC and the Army are cooperating in this regard without any problem.

Iranian officials have repeatedly underscored that the country will not hesitate to strengthen its military capabilities, including its missile power, which are entirely meant for defense, and that Iran’s defense capabilities will be never subject to negotiations.

Back in April, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei praised the Iranian Armed Forces for employing a combination of military effectiveness and spiritual motivations, urging an incessant push to strengthen those capabilities.

The Iranian Armed Forces belong not to a specific individual or faction, but to the nation and the country, protecting the national security, Ayatollah Khamenei noted at the time.
